Hi everyone! Thought you would be interested in this article on a new AT record for an assisted hike on the AT. Becky and I hope to have Jennifer Pharr Davis come speak at our schools about her amazing hike. She beat the woman's record by 30 days and hiked 64.8 miles on her second to the last day!! Read about it at http://www.blueridgenow.com/article/20080819/NEWS/125254

WV photos
Greetings from the Babes in the Woods in Western North Carolina. I hope you are enjoying the last few days of summer vacation. Here is a link to more photos from our fabulous week in WV. http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/565048881tfnUbg and http://outdoors.webshots.com/album/564147682VtqUlr
I'd love to hear from those of you who took the podcast workshop. Our team members were busy with the mega-transect and backpacking. Now I'm thinking how nice it would be to create a report from our trip on a podcast so that it could be uploaded to the web to share with our partners. I finally bought an iPod and am ready to try it out. Any recommendations for info. on the web? I guess we could try PhotoStory again. For those of you interested in that program (which we used for our three minute presentation), it is a free download from Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/photostory/default.mspx
